Introducing
Khum Khantoke
Authentic Lanna Dining & Cultural Shows
Chiang Mai, Thailand

The ancient
kingdom of Lanna, the "Land of the million rice fields
dates back 5,000 years and was once the power base of
Northern Thailand. The Lanna Kingdom reached its highest
point during the reign of King Tilorokarat (1548-1580).
As a result of its remote location in the hills of the
north cut-off from the rest of the ancient kingdom,
a distinctive culture, custom and style of cuisine evolved.
Located on the banks of the tranquil
Kao River, with the Doi Suthep mountains forming a majestic
backdrop, Khum Khantoke lends itself to incentive group
theme parties.
In the garden setting of Khum Khantoke,
the spirit of ancient Lanna is re-created.
The magnificence of Lanna culture is conveyed in the
traditional folk dances and entertainment, and in the
gracious Lanna-style hospitality. The Lanna-style reflected
in the design, architecture and decor completes the
evening's cultural experience.
Cultural entertainment and shows are
presented by performers and musicians from the Chiang
Mai College of Dramatic Arts. These include Classical
Thai Drama, the
Fingernail Dance, Hilltribe Dance, Sword Dance and the
Candle Dance.
Guests are invited to join the Circle Dance.
During the peak season, shows are performed
in the open-air upon on an outdoor stage. Private function
areas for special events are available.
